Project Performance: Nelson

Date: Thursday 23rd May 2019

Manchester Camerata musicians share an afternoon of music created with young and older people in Nelson, Lancashire. The performance will take place at Marsden Community Primary School, Percy Street, Nelson BB9 0BE.

Based on the theme of ‘bridge builders’ across the community, this performance will showcase a collection of songs and pieces written by young and older people about where they live, and about the similarities and differences between two different generations.

This relaxed performance will last for up to an hour and will include the opportunity to take part in some music-making and meet the Manchester Camerata musicians and participants who created the pieces being showcase. Refreshments will also be provided!

This performance is part of the Age of Creativity Festival, celebrating the extraordinary range of Age Friendly creative and cultural work taking place across England through a number of events taking place in May 2019.
