We’re a small team, making a big difference…
Our Camerata in the Community team are working across the North every day, using music to help improve the lives of people of all ages. Our work tackles national agendas in cultural education and health & social care and is backed by research and evaluation partnerships.
We are at the forefront of innovation, experimenting and disrupting accepted practices in how we create and produce work, through unique collaborations with some of the most extraordinary artists from across the globe. Our focus on quality and innovation means that even if a concert sells out, the income from ticket sales doesn’t necessarily cover our costs, and we want to ensure the ticket price is affordable. We would like our music to be accessible to all, connecting with everyone every time, and we need your help to get us there.
The impact we’re currently making as a charity
Manchester Camerata has a restless ambition to redefine what an orchestra can do, creating inspiring experiences through music that connect with everyone every time and promote social change in our community. This encompasses everything we do, from first-class performances that are bursting with vitality, to our pioneering research-led Camerata in the Community programme that inspires personal discovery across schools, health and wellbeing, and our youth programme.
Trust & Foundations
As a registered charity, the support of Trusts and Foundations is critical to the work of Manchester Camerata, both on and off the concert platform. This support enables the delivery of pioneering projects like ‘Music in Mind’ – a music-making project for people living with dementia and their carers. Read More
