    Groups from a selection of Tameside organisations and care homes have been working with Manchester Camerata and Tameside Public Health on a creative training programme, aiming to enable group leaders from each organisation to lead their own music, drama and arts sessions with their residents and service users.   • ‘Mrs Maestro’ Performance

    A new stage production, Mrs Maestro, was performed to a lucky few pupils at Webster Primary school before the concert on 4th March in Barrow. Mrs Maestro is led by Composer Andrew Smith, Director Paul Hine and the musicians of Manchester Camerata and has been developed as a tool to raise awareness of living with dementia alongside the orchestra’s pioneering dementia research.     St John’s Collective First Rehersal

    The 10th January saw the first rehearsal of Manchester’s new amateur Orchestra: St John’s Collective. Here is  Ryan Breen, Manchester Camerata’s tuba player and coach of the brass section, warming up SJC with some stretches before getting stuck into the rehearsal!
